First, schedule the wax for after your period. Your pain threshold is much higher during that time. Moisturize the area you are getting waxed a day or two before your appointment to help your skin better stand the trauma of waxing. Skip your cup of coffee the morning of your appointment because the stimulants in it can make your skin extra sensitive. Finally, while you're on the waxing table, turn and cough to distract yourself from the anticipation of what's happening. Tell your aesthetician that you're doing this and ask her to let you know what she's about to rip.
