Many of you have asked me what diet is good. Many of you have told me what diet you are on. Sometimes they are working for you, and sometimes not.
As a “yo-yo dieter” for years, I can say that I’ve tried them all. Yes, some of them did work well!
One diet I was on right before I went on Dr. Oz’s plan was just downright torture! I was starving all the time and trying so hard to use all the will power I had within me to follow this diet plan.
One afternoon I was out with my Mom, who was on the same diet at the time. I looked at her and said, “It’s time for our afternoon snack now!” She turned to me and said, “Yes, it is!” She counted out 20 pistachios and put them in the palm of my hand. “Are you kidding me?!” I said! Needless to say, that was the end of that diet!
There is a lot to think about before starting a diet:
- First of all, do not call it a “diet.” It is a “lifestyle change,” and change is good!
- Ask yourself, is this a diet plan I can live with forever? If it’s not; do not go on it. You will lose weight, but you’ll gain it back just as quickly if you can’t keep it going constantly.
- Pick a simple plan – no counting points or calories; no giving up anything! It is OK every now and then to have a slice of pizza or a piece of cake; because if you deprive yourself, it’s most likely that you’ll binge eat eventually.
- Always remember; if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
These things being said, it all comes back to Dr. Oz’s plan! Why you ask?? You can live with it every day of your life from here on out, and isn’t that what we all truly want – a simple, happy, healthy, positive lifestyle!
I did it and I know YOU can too! We all deserve to live our best lives.
