I’m sharing this part of my story with you all in hopes that you will take my advice and maybe give “the secret” a chance to work for you! As you all know after I read Dr. Oz’s book, You: On a Diet and followed his plan, I lost weight, got into shape and learned how to eat healthy and maintain my weight-loss.
During the process of losing weight, I was watching Oprah one day and that particular show was about “the secret.” I also watched another episode that talked about vision boards. I became very intrigued with all this new information, and brought it into my life right away. I made a vision board and to this day, I continue to read anything and everything that has anything to do with the law of attraction.
Prior to being on Oprah and The Dr. Oz Show, a friend of mine made up a ticket that was labeled as, “Jennifer Szall’s ticket to the Oprah show to thank Dr. Oz.” I added my own words to that – saying that I would meet and thank Dr. Oz in person.
I placed this ticket in the center of my vision board by the side of my bed. It was the first thing I saw in the morning and the last thing I saw when I went to bed at night.
I visualized myself running out on stage with my cape on, medal in hand, to meet and thank my hero. I did this quite often; every day and night. I made my vision board on February 12, 2008 and in September 2008; I was Skype-d into Oprah’s show to thank Dr. Oz. I was very grateful for this experience. However, I still kept on visualizing meeting Dr. Oz in person! Sure enough, not only did I get to meet and thank him exactly the way I wanted too, but he made me his Ultimate Fan and Wellness Warrior.
I have many things on my vision board and I’ve seen at least a half dozen of my vision board dreams come true in just 2 years.
The reason I wanted to share this part of my story with you all is to explain that you have the ability to train your brain to be, do, or become anything you want! It may be a healthy weight, a new car, a beach house, a new healthy life style, whatever it is – all you have to do is visualize it, make a vision board, start a gratitude journal, have a positive attitude, use positive affirmations, positive self-talk, change your behavior, and treat others as you want to be treated!
Make a set of flashcards with things you want such as a picture of a healthy woman. Keep these flashcards by your bed and look at them. Try to feel like you already have these things as you look at them. Look at them before bed and when you get up in the morning. Thoughts become things; ask, believe, receive! I’m a big believer in the law of attraction, and I truly believe that because of my vision board and positive attitude, not only do I look and feel great, but I was able to thank my hero in person.
I truly am the most thankful woman there is! I have an attitude of gratitude which continues to bless my life. Being able to share and hopefully help you all is one of the biggest blessings I have. It is where my heart is. I wouldn’t share such personal parts of my story if I didn’t care and want the best for all of you too – whatever your dreams are and wherever you are in your life – you have the ability to make them come true just as I continue to do!
