You read that right: I now weigh 128 pounds, making my total weight loss 73 pounds! Not bad for 5'7". For 4 years I maintained my 61 pound weight loss. My weight would hover between 138 and 141 pounds, which was awesome. However, I really felt like I could take it one step further, so my new plan went into action. Now I will work to maintain my new weight of 128 pounds by sticking with my new plan.

I challenge myself now even more now than I did before, by increasing the amount of weight I lift at the gym. After I lift, I make sure to get an hour of cardio in right afterward. This combination of weight lifting and cardio has done my body wonders. I’m more toned now than I have ever been in my life. I feel like a million dollars inside and out!

Combined with my efforts at the gym, I still follow Dr. Oz’s healthy eating plan from his book, YOU: On a Diet. I actually added even more fruits, veggies and whole grains. Between eating right and my efforts at the gym, I have proven once again that anything is possible! Working out and following Dr. Oz’s plan has rocked my world, my body, my soul and my energy.

I wish I could give you just a few seconds in my body to let you feel just how fabulous I feel. Then you could stop making excuses and take the initiative to do what I do, so you can have what I have. Once you get past the excuses, you’ll find your way just like I have. The only thing we truly have power over is ourselves. We can change who we are starting today! Make a plan and follow through. I can’t tell you enough how happy you’ll be with yourself. Most importantly, I want to say that if I can do this, anyone can do it.

Finally, a big shout out once again to my hero, Dr. Oz. I truly feel like he saved me in so many ways. I have so many new beginnings in my life now. Because of him, I am stronger, happier and more confident than ever. I am now always able to be myself, whether I’m up on stage teaching at the gym or just working at my job. I love the new me that Dr. Oz has helped me create!
