Check Your Soy Milk

Steve and I have started his journey towards a healthier way of living! We’re starting from scratch and spoke last Friday about making changes to his breakfast. First, Steve needs to actually eat breakfast. It’s the most important meal of the day and sets up how you’ll eat for the remainder of the day. Don’t wait too long to feed yourself either – your body works hard to keep you alive while you sleep so you’ll need to refuel at least an hour after waking to keep your metabolism running properly.

Steve is using soy milk in his cereal, I told him it probably has cane juice in the first few ingredients and when I asked him to check the label, sure enough it did. Soy milk is a great option in the morning but most have added sugars in the first 5 ingredients.  Check YOUR soy milk at home and opt for labels that read “unsweetened.”  You can also look into unsweetened almond and oat milk as well!
