Amy and I discussed tonight over the phone how our minds can be our worst enemies. Not only do we need to reprogram our food, but we also need completely remodel our brain! Self-doubt is amongst our biggest brain obstacles. Amy and I relate on so many levels! We never REALLY feel like we can do it, so, that little inner voice reminds us that we can't. Or, maybe that inner voice tells you that the 2 people in the room across from you MUST be mumbling something under their breath about you. Why is that? Maybe they were just discussing how much they love your new hair-do.
We tend to plant seeds of doubt in our own minds about ourselves. Instead, whenever we hear that small voice getting louder, we need to seize that thought, take it captive and turn it into something positive. When you hear the thought in your head saying, "No, you can't do it," turn that around and say, "But, I AM doing it and I will continue to do so!!"
We need to build a foundation of faith in ourselves and change our perspective. Focus on positive reaffirming thoughts. I love coaching Amy and I love telling her how proud I am of her, how amazing she is and how impressed I am with her determination. Nothing makes me happier than reminding her that she IS doing it...together we are going to reprogram her from the tip of her head to the bottom of her toes! We are working on the remodeling project of a lifetime! (Oh, and, let me tell you, this one is going to be beautiful from the INSIDE, OUT!)
