Some people are surprised to know that I did not always struggle with weight. Up until 9 years ago I was a size 6 and gifted with curves in all the right places and a waist that was wonderfully designed. During this time in my life I enjoyed an active lifestyle that consisted of training with a personal trainer, power walking, biking and anything that meant being outdoors.
As children came on board my lifestyle changed. Gym time was exchanged for naptime; since I was nursing I thought I needed to eat for 2 to keep my supply up. I found that “Stacy” time was non-existent and a little selfish to ask for. Pretty soon I was caught up in putting my family first and I lost a sense for who I really was. I had become Stacy the Homemaker and was caught up in the daily grind of running a household.
This journey with Dr. Oz, Dr. Roizen and my fellow Housewives of Oz has helped me to rediscover who I am. This journey has been so much more than losing weight. It has taught me that it is okay to put yourself first - in fact it’s the most loving thing you can do for your family. Although I take away some time from my family to workout and take care of me, I am replacing that lost time with many more years as a healthier and fitter mother and wife. My energy levels are through the roof and everyone benefits from that.
The most profound part of this journey for me personally is that I found me. I’d like to introduce you all to that person that was in hiding for so many years, the person I promised America I would bring back when I looked into that camera and vowed that I was bringing sexy back. I’d like to introduce you all to - Stacy Fierce! She is fun, loves life and lives it to the fullest. She has rekindled her love for the gym. She loves to dress up and show off and she loves her roles as a mother and wife. She is genuine and is on a new mission to assist others to reach their weight-loss goals and to uncover their inner sexy. She is a person who believes that any challenge in life can be accomplished with the help of great friends, belief in self, a leap of faith and a drive to attain whatever can be dreamed up.
It was this journey that proved to me that once you put your mind to something and defeat all obstacles thrown at you with the assistance of others then that is when you become unstoppable. Don’t let yourself be the one stopping you from being happy and unleashing your inner fierce. YOU can do it all!
