I believe the most important difference between this time and all of the failed weight-loss attempts of my past is the change in my views on health and fitness.
In the past, I viewed healthy eating as a short-term plan for weight loss. It served no other practical purpose in my life. My food choices were based on taste. I never felt motivated to focus on eating for my health.
This time, I accepted the fact that if I wanted to change my weight forever, I would have to change my eating habits forever. This was not a diet. I was creating a healthier lifestyle. I started slow and I gradually began to consider both taste and nutritional value in my food choices.
I finally made the connection! The food that I eat has a direct effect on my health!
This may also be common sense for some people. To be honest, I believe that even I would have answered that question correctly on a quiz. But when it came to real life application, I was failing miserably. So, I decided I would have to find and create foods that are high in both flavor and nutritional value.
I began creating fit and tasty recipe alternatives for my some of my favorite fattening foods. I love pizza, and I have learned to create it in a very fit and tasty way. Click here for my fit and tasty pizza recipes!
Begin to believe that healthy food can taste great! I love my fit and tasty recipes, and I hope you enjoy them too!
Remember the food choices you make today have a direct effect on both your results and health tomorrow. Use this knowledge to provide motivation to make healthier choices today and power to create a healthier tomorrow.
I no longer view making healthy food choices and exercising to improve my health as hardships. Instead, I now view these things as logical and beneficial actions, just like taking a bath or brushing my teeth and hair.
It worked for me and it can work for YOU!
