Apple Crumble Slices

Enjoy this fall-inspired dessert guilt-free. There is no added sugar in this recipe which makes it a great substitute for apple pie. 

Ingredients

  • 2 firm apples, like Fuji
  • 1 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup no sugar added apple sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp melted coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

 

2. Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the apples crosswise into four rounds each.

 

3. In a medium bowl, mix the oats, cinnamon, coriander, salt, applesauce, maple syrup, coconut oil, and lemon juice until well combined.

 

4. Divide the mix into eight equal portions to spread on each apple slice. Place on the baking sheet and bake for about 25 minutes until crispy on top. Let the apples cool a bit before serving.
