This quick and easy morning smoothie was first made with a bicycle. That's right: Carla Hall, cohost of ABC's The Chew, pedaled a smoothie bike blender (from Wheely Good Smoothies) at the U.S. National Arboretum. Fortunately for the rest of us, it's just as delicious and nutritious the old-fashioned way—with the press of a button. So incorporate this recipe into your morning routine. The blueberries, banana, and orange juice will help you start your day off right. And the Swiss chard will fuel your body with vitamins K, A, C and E.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 ripe banana, cut into chunks
  • 2 Swiss chard leaves, torn up (stems removed)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice

Directions

1. Put all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.

2. Enjoy!
