This smoothie is the perfect remedy if you have a sluggish thyroid. The watercress is a great source of iodine which is essential for the successful production of thyroid hormones. Additionally the coconut milk, turmeric, and chia seeds all boost and support the healthy function of the thyroid gland. Enjoy this nutritious and delicious smoothie for breakfast or as a snack. 

Ingredients

  • 1 small bunch of watercress
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric (or more, to desired taste)
  • 2 tsp ground chia seeds

Directions

1. Blend all ingredients until smooth. 

 

2. Add water in slowly until desired consistency is reached.
