- 4 slices sprouted grain bread, lightly toasted
- 4 oz full fat fresh mozzarella
- 4 small tomatoes, cut into rounds
- 16 fresh basil leaves
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 4 tsp extra virgin olive oil
Preheat oven to 350º F.
Place bread on baking sheet.
Slice mozzarella into rounds, divide evenly into 4 portions and place on top of bread.
Top with tomato slices, basil, and optionally garlic.
Bake for 7 to 9 minutes until the cheese starts to melt.
Remove from oven and drizzle with olive oil if desired.
