Curcumin, a compound found in turmeric, is an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that may relieve symptoms of summer allergies. Allergist Dr. Tania Elliott recommends drinking a turmeric-based latte two to three times a day to clear up allergic reactions and reduce inflammation.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup boiled milk or almond milk
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp honey

Directions

1. Add turmeric powder, black pepper, and honey to boiling milk.

 

2. Stir well until the turmeric has mixed properly in the milk.

 

3. Let cool and add ice.
