Maple Almond Butter

Get crafty with gifts this season by making this homemade almond butter. Packed with protein and delcious flavor, it's sure to be a gift anyone will love. 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • Pinch stevia or 2 tbsp sweetener of choice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 8 drops of maple extract
  • Pinch cinnamon, optional
  • 6 tbsp melted virgin coconut oil (optional for a smooth texture and buttery taste)

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 330 degrees F and roast the almonds on a baking sheet for 14 minutes or until toasted.

 

2. Combine all ingredients in a high-quality food processor and process on high for approximately 15 minutes, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides.The longer you blend, the smoother it will be.

 

3. Refrigerate leftovers in a covered jar for up to 1 month.
