Rocco DiSpirito's applesauce recipe manages to turn three ingredients into a wonderfully sweet, delectable and comforting dish. It's an ideal low-calorie recipe for whenever those sweet cravings arise. Six apple slices are only 39 calories! Aside from vitamin C, apples contain pectin, which is a natural fiber that slows down digestion and makes you feel full for an extended period of time. Considering how comforting this homemade apple sauce is, it's a go-to negative calorie food everyone should try.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples (organic honeycrisp apples if possible)
  • 2 packets monk fruit extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

1. Grate the apples into a mixing bowl, without the core and seeds.

2. Whisk in monk fruit extract and cinnamon.
