Opting for chickpeas over snack foods high in saturated fat can help lower your risk of cardiovascular disease. This legume is a rich source of fiber that helps to control blood sugar levels so you won't experience the fatigue and irritation from a blood sugar crash. Chickpeas also make you feel more full and curb food cravings. Make sure to add plenty of spices to give this snack an extra kick.
