Switch up your morning smoothie routine and try a smoothie bowl recipe. This satisfying dish contains lots of vitamins and minerals from the spinach, banana, and orange juice; and heart-healthy monounsaturated fats from the avocado. Plus, for added health value, you can top the bowl with blueberries, diced pineapple, ground flaxseeds, and whatever toppings you desire. Ingredients

  • 1 packed cup baby spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • blueberries (optional)
  • diced pineapple (optional)
  • ground flaxseeds (optional)

Directions

1. Process the spinach, banana, orange juice, avocado, and ice in a blender until very smooth. 

 
2. Serve topped with blueberries, diced pineapple, and ground flaxseeds.
