Most traditional smoothies and shakes are filled with sugar, but this one lives up to my standards and is an excellent recipe to have on hand for those mornings when you don’t have time to create a regular breakfast meal. This smoothie can go with you to work too, and keep you satisfied for hours.

 

Recipe from: The Grain Brain Whole Life Plan 

Ingredients

  • 1⁄4 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1⁄4 cup water (or more for desired consistency)
  • 1⁄4 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1⁄4 ripe avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 1 tbsp raw unsalted sunflower seeds or almonds
  • 1 tbsp raw unsalted sunflower seeds or almonds
  • 1 tbsp sunflower seed butter or almond butter
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a blender jar.

 

2. Blend until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. Serve immediately.
