Ever wonder why you hate a dish that someone else loves? It's because there is a science behind how you taste! If you are a supertaster, you will love strong tastes and flavors. If you are a non-taster, you will be unaffected by spicy foods. An average taster is somewhere in between. Try the recipe below to find out what kind of taster you are.
- 3 lbs turnips
- 1/4 strained yogurt
- Dash of salt
- Freshly ground pepper
Peel and quarter the turnips, in a medium-sized pot cover the turnips with cold water and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to a simmer, cover the pot and cook for about 20 to 25 minutes, until turnips are very soft. Puree the turnips until velvety smooth. Stir in the yogurt salt and pepper and serve.
