Why did you want to become a doctor?
I think I was brainwashed at an extremely early age by my mom, who always had great respect and admiration for doctors and the field of medicine. As I grew up, and studied in pre-medical and eventually medical environments, I realized that medicine was exactly what my mom said it would be – intellectually challenging, unendingly interesting, and more than worthy as a lifetime pursuit.
What sets you apart from other doctors in your field?
I have been told that my compassion and commitment to patient welfare is unusual, and that these qualities allow me to be an effective doctor. On a more tangible side, my office in midtown Manhattan, NY Spine Medicine, offers a unique treatment for osteoarthritis and back pain called Regenokine. Regenokine uses the body's own interleukin-1 receptor antagonists to improve joint health and reduce joint destruction.
