Oven-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies

Replacing fats with applesauce and using honey or agave in place of sugar make this recipe, originally posted by Wellness Warrior Nancy Schuessler, a less guilty pleasure. These chocolate chip cookies are a great option for dieters who can’t give up their favorite treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
  • 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup agave
  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chunks
  • 1 banana

Directions

Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl before adding wet ingredients.

Stir ingredients together until completely blended.

Make round 1/2 - 1 inch balls of dough and place on cookie sheet.

Bake in oven 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
