Signs of perimenopause:
- Changes in skin. Solution: Use moisturizers that contain retinols. These are available over the counter and in prescription form.
- Weight gain. Solution: Enjoy a healthy diet, regular exercise, and a daily dose of vitamin D and calcium.
- Hair changes. Solution: Women can take minoxidil, a medication originally intended to treat high blood pressure, to promote hair growth. Perimenopause can also cause unwanted hair; hair removal techniques, such as waxing or laser treatments, are good solutions.
