Though lovingly nicknamed, "cankles," or calf-ankles, may be indicative of a number of health issues, including heart and kidney problems. The cankle, marked by little or no definition of the bones and muscles between the calf and ankle, can be caused by fat deposits, fluid retention or genetics.
