A diet rich in fiber could be one of the best ways to prevent cancer. Researchers have found that both soluble and insoluble fiber may reduce the risk of breast cancer, especially for women consuming upwards of 30 grams a day. In one large study, women who ate a high-fiber diet (38-77 grams per day) had a greater than 20 percent reduction in their risk of ovarian cancer, when compared to women who consumed low-fiber diets.
