However, most of these meals have hidden sodium, sugar, and preservatives that are not healthy for you to eat. Check out these five Oz-approved tips to make sure the frozen dinners you buy are a healthier option. Just remember to only eat frozen dinners in moderation, your normal diet should consist of a lot of all-natural and fresh foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and healthy protein. 

Dr. Oz's Top 6 Frozen Diet Dinner Guidelines 

  • Less than 500 calories. 
  • No more than five grams saturated fat. 
  • No more than 500 mg of sodium.
  • Should contain five or more grams of fiber.
  • Must have at least 15 grams of protein.
  • Should not have more than 15 grams of sugar.
