Carrier Oil

While we call them oils, essential oils are actually highly concentrated plant derivatives that can cause a powerful reaction when applied to the skin. The key to getting the most out of your treatments is to dilute the oil of your choosing with a carrier oil such as jojoba, coconut oil, shea butter, or grapeseed oil. While essential oils have a strong fragrance, the carriers are muted and meant to aid in the safe transfer of the oil to your skin, rather than imparting a scent of their own. Try out different carrier and essential oil combos to find the mix that suits you best.
