Christmas Magic

As many of you know, I believe in “the secret” and I believe that it has led me to where I am now in my life for a reason. I used to be a real “yes person.” I worried about what others thought and how they may or may not judge me or how they might make me feel. But as I continue on my life’s journey, I realize that not saying yes to everything and not worrying about what others think is a very magical experience. It gives me more time to work on myself.

I always do my best, and my best is all I can do! I’ve also realized that not everyone will always be happy for me, and that’s ok.

I feel like lately I have been given a very special gift, the gift of Christmas magic. I surrender my needs, wants and desires and somehow magically they have been finding their way into my life! I trust my intuition more now as well, and despite being judged for it at times by others, it’s helping me become the person I was meant to be – just like magic!

I am a very giving person, now more than ever, and it makes me feel so good! I want all of you to experience your dreams coming true as mine have and continue to this day.

I still learn many things from many others and I value everyone’s opinion, but my life is mine to take it or leave it for what it is.

No, my life isn’t perfect, but I make the most of what I got; I dream big, I have an even bigger heart and I work hard at what I love to do. I trust that things can only and will only keep getting better! Trusting in my own inner magic is a beautiful gift, but to realize its influence at Christmastime tells me that something bigger and better than ever lies ahead for me. I am beyond thankful for all that I have and my trust in the Christmas Magic, where thoughts become things and dreams do come true.

So no matter what your thoughts and dreams are, let the Christmas magic within you take hold. Wish big this Christmas and give even more, after all, all you have to do is believe – believe in Christmas Magic!

4 Steps to Shedding Your Pandemic Pounds

Forgive yourself, and start walking toward a healthier you.

For those of you who have put on the Pandemic Pounds or added several new COVID Curves, you are not alone. Alarmingly, the American Psychological Association has recently published that almost half of all adults in their survey now have a larger physique. In fact, 42% of people reported gaining roughly 15 pounds (the average published was surprisingly 29 pounds but that included outliers) over the past year. Interestingly, 20% of adults in this survey lost about 12 pounds (I am surely not in this group). Clearly, there is a relationship between stress and weight change. In addition, one in four adults disclosed an increase in alcohol consumption, and 67% of participants distressingly revealed that they have new sleeping patterns.

This past year has brought about what has been called the 'new normal.' Social isolation and inactivity due to quarantining and remote working have sadly contributed to the decline in many people's mental and physical health, as demonstrated by the widespread changes in people's weight, alcohol consumption, and sleeping patterns. Gym closures, frequent ordering of unhealthy takeout, and increased time at home cooking and devouring comfort foods have had a perceptible impact. In addition, many people have delayed routine medical care and screening tests over fear of contracting Covid-19 during these visits. Unfortunately, the 'new normal' has now placed too many people at risk for serious health consequences, including heart attacks and strokes.
