Week 1 | Jessica: Just when I thought my non-orgasmic love life was something I could never change… I got a very unexpected and surprising call from The Dr. Oz Show. They received my inquiry explaining my difficulty reaching orgasms – and they wanted to help. Now don’t get me wrong, I have had an orgasm before. In fact, I’ve had 5: one with my husband and 4 on my own with the assistance of my trusty vibrator. Needless to say, I need help in this department.
The next thing I knew, my husband and I were on our way to The Dr. Oz Show. There I met an amazing and inspiring woman, Marrena Lindberg, who suggested I follow her special orgasmic diet. With the “ok” from my doctor, I have started the diet. So far it’s been pretty easy with the exception of the no caffeine rule. I have cut my consumption down to 1-2 cups per day, compared to my almost one pot.
I have not yet been able to have another orgasm with my husband, but I have noticed other changes within myself, including a higher libido. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Who knows, maybe the next time you hear from me I will be an ORGASMIC DIVA!
Week 1 | Jenny: And off we go...I am so excited! I have stressed over this my whole adult life; always feeling that even, though I enjoyed making love to my husband, something was missing. I could never reach that final destination: a full-blown orgasm!
Being that I am a diabetic, I was a little concerned when I found out that this program would mean going on a diet. (A diet - for orgasms... Awesome!) And to top it off, the diet calls for CHOCOLATE! Yes!
Most women, if they are like me, probably would not have put chocolate and orgasms together for some reason. However, that being said, from what I've read in Marrena Lindberg's book The Orgasmic Diet, many of foods she tells us to avoid, like caffeine, sugar, starch, etc., are the same ones that I, as a diabetic, should avoid anyway. Now, I have to admit that avoiding the coffee and iced tea is really hard for me right now, but I'm willing to try. The one area that does concern me a little is cutting back on fat. I am one of Paula Dean's biggest fans... but I can't cook everything in butter like she does!
I had to have a friend order a vibrator for me. I just couldn't force myself to go into a store and ask the clerk for one. Yes, it is probably just a personal hang up, but I would feel as though everyone would think I was a sex pervert or something. Anyway, I am anxious to receive that item and add it to the diet. That's all for now!
Week 1 | Nikki: For most of my adult life, I’ve kept my inability to have a vaginal orgasm a secret. Not until my early 30s did I realize that it is ok for women to talk openly about their sex lives. Now that I have gone on national television and told the whole world, there is no turning back now. The cat is out of the bag!
So, here I am reading the The Orgasmic Diet by Marrena Lindberg, hoping that something as simple as adding dark chocolate and fish oil to my diet will help me reach her promise to“achieve mind-blowing orgasms each and every time.” If I could just have any type of vaginal orgasm, I would be ready to say “I do”!
I must say, I am a little skeptical. According to the diet, I am supposed to increase my protein intake, consume endless amounts of fish-oil, as well as take a multi-vitamin, extra zinc, calcium and magnesium. I gag at the thought of swallowing all these pills! I have a healthy (I say this with some hesitation) diet already, so cutting down on the suggested orgasm killers such as, starchy carbs, sugar and caffeine shouldn’t be a problem. Cutting out hormonal birth control might be a problem...literally. You mean to tell me that my birth control pills have not only prevented pregnancy, but also my ability to have an orgasm? I guess I will have to wait and see!
