Peanut butter and bananas are a match made in heaven. For so many of us, this snack is a regular staple in our diets since we assume it’s healthier than cookies or candy. A healthy serving of peanut butter and banana slices should be around 285 calories. Unfortunately, it’s way too easy to dip into the peanut butter jar too many times, which can really bring the calorie count up quickly. If you dip your banana in peanut butter six times, that will be around 645 calories, which is the same as an ice cream sundae. To cut back, be mindful of your nut butter servings and switch from a 100 calorie banana to apples or celery.
