Quinoa in its purest form is around 212 calories, has a low-glycemic index, and is full of fiber and protein. Where we run into trouble is when we order quinoa bowls at restaurants, which have too much cheese, dressing, and toppings and can often total 700 calories. To keep your quinoa healthy and diet-friendly, mix in cauliflower rice which has very few calories, and be mindful of your toppings.
