Find out if your stomach pain may be serious.
From stress and nerves to overeating or eating too quickly, stomach pain can be caused by a number of different everyday factors. But sometimes your upset stomach may be abnormal. With the help of gastroenterologist Dr. Roshini Raj and holistic nutritionist JJ Virgin, we're going to cover the ways you can treat these symptoms and learn how to tell if you need medical attention. Here are six signs you may have a more serious stomach issue on your hands.
Pain in the Same Spot Each Time
If you are consistently feeling cramps or pain in the same part of your stomach, Dr. Raj recommends you take a few factors into consideration: First, how intense is the pain? If the pain is really extreme you may need to go to the emergency room so you should check in with your body to determine how bad it is. The next point to consider is if the pain is getting better or worse. If it's chronic and not severe but slowly getting worse, you should see your doctor to rule out any health issues.
