In one study of 100 patients that experienced an acute migraine without an aura, random patients either received ginger powder or a drug used for treating migraine headaches. Two hours after their headaches, the severity decreased significantly for both groups. This natural solution to migraine pain might also have fewer side effects than taking drugs for the pain.
