Nutmeg

Research suggests eugenol, a flavor component of the nutmeg clove, may inhibit enzymes that are involved in glucose metabolism, encouraging fat breakdown. Studies link eugenol with reduced glucose levels, alleviating the adverse effects of diabetes.

Well, if you are overweight, obese or have diabetes you may develop leptin resistance and your "I am full" hormone, leptin, can't do its job. The hormone's signal to your hypothalamus is dampened, and you keep eating.
