It’s that time of year – the time of lots of parties and the overeating that comes along with it. While the holidays can be an exciting time to see family and friends and have some fun, they can also cause a lot of stress for fear of gaining weight. Use these tips from Dr. Oz’s trusted experts to arm yourself with the hourly tools needed to make sure you get through each party this season without added guilt.
If your host tries to give you leftovers, don’t take them. Don’t give rich, decadent, unhealthy food a chance to follow you home. Kirkpatrick recommends making up an excuse that someone at home is allergic to ingredients as a possible avoidance strategy. If they still won’t take no for an answer and you end up leaving with a container of food, throw it away before you get home to make sure it doesn’t wreck your diet the next day.
