Dr. Oz, investigative reporter Jenna Wolfe, and the show’s medical unit put frozen diet dinners to the test. A total of 14 sample meals from six different brands were judged according to their nutritional content and taste. In particular, the team focused on five nutritional components – calories, saturated fat, sodium, fiber, and protein. The Worst: Evol Lean & Fit: Teriyaki Chicken

Although Evol’s teriyaki chicken meal has zero grams of saturated fat per serving, the rest of the meal is high in total carbohydrates, at 45 grams per serving. It is also high in sugars, with 12 grams per serving. Reporter Jenna Wolfe emphasized that if you are indulging in sugar from a frozen meal, it should come from a natural source instead of a sweetened teriyaki sauce.
