If you have heard about the protein shake diet and are wondering what it entails, what you can eat, and what you can expect, consider this your ultimate starter guide.
Once you lose weight and want to maintain your results, you can cut back from two shakes to one and for your solid meals, fill a quarter of your plate with lean protein and the rest with non-starchy veggies for one, and for the other, fill half the plate with non-starchy vegetables, a quarter of the plate with lean protein, and a quarter of the plate with starchy vegetables. You can also swap the starchy veggies with grains once to twice a week. You should continue to exercise as much as you’ve been doing before.
