9 HIIT Exercises to Get Fit

High intensity interval training, also known as HIIT, is a highly effective workout method. Here’s how it works: you do a variety of exercise moves intensely for 30 seconds and then to rest for 10 seconds. This routine gets your heart rate up and your body going. If you want to get healthy and fit without the hassle of the gym, try out some of these exercises.

High Knees

Get your body moving with an energizing high knees exercise. Bring up your right leg, then bend it at the knee. Bring your right leg down, and then bring up your left leg, and bend it at the knee. Rotate between your legs continuously and bring up your knees as high as you can lift them. Power through this exercise for 30 seconds before taking a 10 second rest.

Drowning: How to Respond

It's critical to get the person breathing again as soon as possible.

Drowning can happen quickly. Three children die every day from drowning, and most fatal incidents happen from lack of appropriate supervision. Every minute that passes is critical in saving them or preventing serious injury. Here's what to do if you see someone drowning and you need to help rescue them.

Call 911

You should alert emergency responders as soon as possible. If there are other people around, instruct someone to make the call. If you are alone, help the drowning person until you can give CPR for one minute and then call 911 yourself (then continue life-saving measures).
