Add a Pinch of Salt

While salt is generally thought of as a bad thing to add into meals, it can actually help boost your thyroid. But not just any salt will do the trick -- sea salt is what will help your thyroid out. Thyroid cells are the only cells in our body that can absorb iodine, which is naturally found in sea salt. This absorption can help regulate the hormones in the thyroid. Add a pinch or two of sea salt onto the fish you are cooking up for dinner to improve your thryoid function.
