Check Per-Unit Pricing
To determine if something is worth buying, always check the unit price first. It’s easy to think you’re getting a good deal when you see your favorite products in bulk, but the cost per use is the important factor to consider. For example, if a big box laundry detergent is $19.99 (225 fl oz) then the cost per load is $0.18 (2 fl oz load). Whereas if a store-bought detergent is $11.99 (100 fl oz) then the cost per load is $0.24 (2 fl oz load), making the big box option a better deal.
