Avoid the Wrong Kinds of Movements
While staying active is good for your joints, certain movements are more likely to lead to injury. Any activity that requires rapid changes in direction, twisting, pivoting or direct impact to joints can lead to damage and tears to the structures of the joint. Stick to activities like running, swimming or cycling and stay away from activities like basketball or football.
