Coconut Kefir

Kefir is a fermented milk drink made with complex grains made up of bacteria and yeast similar to what’s seen in kombucha. The yeast and bacteria present in the drink may be beneficial for your intestinal flora. Like yogurt, the dairy version may be difficult for those who are lactose intolerant to handle. The coconut replacement is still high in calcium, vitamin B12 and magnesium, but doesn’t have any of the protein its milk cousin has.
