Don’t let a busy work day stop you from staying active.
Eight or more hours in front of your desk can fly by and when you’re swamped both at work and at home, it can be difficult to schedule a visit to the gym or squeeze in a full workout. Wearing a fitness tracker or pedometer might be a great motivation starter but not enough to stay active. Commit to getting more steps with these adaptable shortcuts.
Take the Stairs Instead of the Elevator
This may seem like a no-brainer but what if your office is too high up for a reasonable climb? Try taking the elevator half of the way up and take the stairs for the last half of the trip. Challenge yourself to take the stairs one floor below once the routine becomes too easy and see how long you can keep up this healthy habit.
