Water Balloons as an Ice Substitute

Everyone’s worst summer lunch nightmare–You reach for a sandwich in the cooler on the beach only to realize that it has been waterlogged by the melting ice. To prevent this and protect your sandwich, fill water balloons with ice and freeze them to stick in the cooler. That way, as the water starts to melt, it stays contained in the balloon, keeping everything in the cooler cold and dry.
