This is a staple add-on to a meal that leads you to believe you're including something healthy into your diet. But be wary of the kind of juice or smoothie you sip on: Many of the prepackaged ones are loaded with sugar and calories and lack the fiber that normal slows sugar absorption. Stick to fresh-squeezed juices or smoothies you can make at home and have control over the ingredients you're blending.
