Find out how your state ranks when it comes to healthy living.
Being healthy doesn’t stop at the physical. How healthy you are (and feel) is a product of your overall well-being, a combination of five different aspects within your life: sense of purpose, social relationships, financial security, connection with your community, and physical health. Gallup-Healthways released its 2016 State Well-Being Rankings, which examines how Americans across the nation are thriving within these five pillars. Read on to see if you live in one of the states with the highest well-being, and get the full report here.
While Vermont has high rates of social, community, and physical health, the study also found that nationally, Americans’ life evaluation have reached their highest point since 2008. This means that as a whole, we are more optimistic about the future and see a brighter tomorrow on the horizon. With more than 55 percent of American adults thriving, the nation is seeing an uptick in its well-being.
