Applesauce

This applesauce is perfect for both cold and hot dishes. Plus, it's packed with health perks and is a lighter choice over creamy condiments.

3 apples
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup freshly grated horseradish
1 lemon, juiced
1 pinch sea salt

Core two of the apples and cut into quarters. Leave the skin on for added vitamins and fiber. In a small saucepan, cook the cut apples with the water, covered, about 15-20 minutes until the apples are very soft. Meanwhile grate the remaining raw apple, set aside.



Use a food processor or blender to puree the cooked apples, stir in the horseradish, lemon juice, salt and the grated fresh apple. Refrigerate for at least an hour for all the flavors to  develop.
