Bacon Flavored Tempeh

If you're trying to lose weight but can't seem to give up bacon, this recipe is perfect for you. It has all the great flavors of bacon without any of the grease and unhealthy fat. 8 oz package of tempeh, sliced into thin slices
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ancho chile powder
1 tbsp grapeseed oil

1. Mix together soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, cumin, chile powder, and grapeseed oil to make marinade.

 

2. Place tempeh in the marinade to give it a smoky bacon flavor. Let it marinade for 30 minutes.

 

3. Cook each piece in a skillet for one to two minutes on each side. Make it a delicious breakfast meal by putting one piece of bacon on Ezekiel bread and top with half an avocado.
