Bread-Machine Whole-Wheat Bread

This recipe is from Lori, a mom who used this recipe along with tips from Dr. Oz to help her family lose a total of 380 pounds.

1 1/8 cups warm water
2 tbsp agave nectar
2 tbsp molasses
2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp vital wheat gluten
2 tbsp flaxseed meal
1 1/2 tsp bread-machine yeast

1. Add all liquid ingredients to bread-machine pan. Then add the dry ingredients as listed. 

 

2. Set bread machine to light crust, 1 1/2-pound loaf size and basic setting. 

 

3. When done, slice and serve. 

 

Note: You can use whole flaxseed or wheat germ in place of flaxseed meal.
