Creamy Hummus

On the lookout for a savory and satisfying snack that gives you a good dose of healthy fats like olive oil? Guest Paula's hummus recipe is the perfect nutritional snack solution — dip in pretzels, pita bread, or your favorite veggie. 


  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • juice of 1 big lemon
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 (15 oz) can garbanzo beans
  • olive tapenade


1. Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor and mix until the tahini has lightened in appearance and is "fluffy" like frosting.


2. Add the can of garbanzo beans and process until it is smooth. Add more olive oil as it processes.


3. Spoon into serving bowl and top with olive tapenade.
