Dr. Low Dog’s Astragalus-Fruit Smoothie

Dr. Tieraona Low Dog included astragalus powder in her smoothie recipe to help patients cope with stress and stay alert throughout the day.


  • 1 cup almond milk, soy milk, or low-fat cow’s milk
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt, vanilla or strawberry
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, peaches, mangos or other favorite fruit
  • 1 banana
  • 1-2 tsp astragalus powder


Put ingredients in blender and puree. You can use frozen fruits to make the drink colder. Serves 2.
